Minimal Wedding Ring with Diamond Alexandrite and Topaz

Oh my heart- this ring. Y’all I don’t think I can adequately explain how exciting this ring was. It was for the wife, Linda, of my high school art teacher, Buddy. They contacted me to remake Linda’s original engagement ring. We used her original diamond and added a topaz and alexandrite for her and her daughter’s birthstones. The ring is 14k white gold with a double band.

Buddy was a huge influence on my creative life as a teenager and beyond. His classes covered all aspects of design, art and craft but also meditation, critical thinking, even zydeco music. The walls of the art room provided a safe harbor from the hardships of high school. It was a magical place that inspired all students. Having the opportunity to recreate this ring was a highlight in my career.
